Registering as a Data Smart client
Registering as a Data Smart client will enable you to receive useful information on data and information related events, specialist networks and newsletters.
Click on 'Register' in the top navigation menu and enter your details.
Some of the information on the screen is mandatory and these items are marked with an *.
Complete your contact details and indicate the categories of events that interest you - economic, environmental, social or demographic. You can also request to receive specific newsletters and professional development events.
To register for any event on Data Smart you will need to be a registered client and be logged into the system.
Registering for an event
To register for an event you need to be a registered client and be logged into the system. If you are not a registered client, click 'My Details' in the navigator menu to register your details. If you are already registered as a client, log in with your email address and password. If you have not logged in you will be prompted to do so.
Select an event from the calendar. If the event is open for registrations, an 'Event Registration' link will be displayed.
Click the 'Event Registration' link. The event details and your client registration details will be displayed for confirmation.
Click on 'Confirm Booking' to confirm your event registration. Your event registration will be displayed in your 'My Events' section with any other previously attended events.
Coordinating an event, network or newsletter
If you have an event, network or newsletter that meets the eligibility criteria for the site, you can become a password user and use the system. To become a coordinator, contact the Data Smart Manager by email to datasmart@treasury.qld.gov.au to receive your user login and password.
To add an event, login with your username and password.
Select the 'Add Event' menu item on the left. Once added, events can be edited and deleted by coordinators. If comments are required from end users, then click on 'Yes' in response to 'Will there be comments submitted for this event?' otherwise click 'No'.
